I feel the world is sad today
For all its joys have died
I do not feel we know the way
And hang my head and sigh
For the sun does not kiss
The rolling hills
And the wind does not sing
Of its wonders
The oceans and rivers
Don't splash with great joy
And the birds do not speak
Of the heavens
The waves of my soul
Roll like the sea
And my heart
Beats like a drum
As the light fades into dark
I pray that one more dawn will come
