Dictionary Definition: TAB(n.): a group of teens and twelves that get together every couple of months AND PAAAARRRRTIES!! No, not really...Seriously, TAB stands for Teen Advisory Board. Our mission is to make the library (and its website) a better, more appealing place for teens who want to study, meet, and recreate! We do this by involving teens (and twelves) in the functioning of the library by seeking their ideas on programs, services, and materials specifically for young adults, thereby improving Young Adult services at the Moffat Library.

"Services" TAB provides: •We write the Teen Scene zine; •We update this website bi-annually (or whenever we feel like it - whichever comes first); •Help out with activities & programs; •Decide what programs are held (kinda, muahahaha....ha); •Advertise these programs; •(Strongly) suggest movies & CDs, and perhaps some books...

...And much more we haven't the patience to write. FYI: TAB members must be students in grades 7 through 12.

TAB-ite Autobiographies

You were probably wondering who we are - this invisible group that RULES THE WORLD!!! (At least the Moffat Library World...) Some of you may know us as "those damn kids," "Charlie's Angels," "My Favorite Martians," etc. ("You see us as you want to see us..." - The Breakfast Club - my favorite '80's movie)
Well, here you can find our short (hopefully) interesting autobiographies or maybe what you might call "wacky personal statements". Enjoy!

I'm Suzanne and I spend too much time at the library. It's because they feed me, of course, and they let me decorate their bookshelves. That's why anyone should join TAB, if you ask me. Cookies and double-sided tape...I'll just go now...

Hey y'all! I'm Audrey, and the first thing you should know about me is that I'm a music nut (see picture)!! HAHAHA!!! Seriously, I play the flute and sing in school and out of school. I even went to Band Camp!!!! YAY!!! I love to be in plays as well. I also like cats. I have 3: Tarzan, Jane and Sahara. I like bicycling on the weekends, and playing on my trampoline. Oh yeah, and one more thing...the polecat thing WILL NEVER DIE!!! HAHA!! (Inside joke from a TAB meeting!)

My name is Laura. I am in the seventh grade & I am 12 years old. I play the french horn and I am in select chorus. I enjoy art and tennis, my favorite color is blue and I enjoy the theme of moon and stars. I plan and hope to participate in the school Drama Club and I enjoy being a part of TAB.

Hi, my name is Alaina. I like to read so I became a TAB member. I also like to dance and I have been going to dance school since I was 4. I enjoy playing volleyball and cheerleading. I love to read. Two of my favorite series are the Sweep series and the Harry Potter series. I also like to write, but don't think I'm very good. Lol. My favorite show in the whole world is Charmed. Ummm..what else to say? I'll leave you with this thought...

Hey, I'm Kaitlin, but from now on, I refer to myself as "Qaetlyn-san". I try to be funny, but I'm not all that clever. I also watch too much Comedy Central.

Heyyy! 'Sup! I'm Jose. I love music and other weird things. Well, I'm tired...must sleep ZZZZZZ...Adios mis amigos...So I'm back. I'm in select chorus at school and love to sing. I also like to read. Some good books are the Series of Unfortunate Events books. Movies are kewl, 80's, 90's and new movies. I love to go to Puerto Rico, Florida, and California to see my relatives and go to landmarks, such as Disney World and Universal Studios. Adios!
